Proof of US Citizenship
Pass FAA medical exam
At least 16 years old to solo
At least 17 years old to become a Private Pilot
Flight Experience Requirement
40 hours of flight time
20 hours of flight instruction
3 hours of night training
10 night takeoffs and landing
1 night cross country
3 hours of instrument training
10 hours of solo flight
5 hours of cross country
150 nautical mile flight with 3 full stops at 3 different airports
3 takeoffs and landings at an airport with an operating control tower
